Private Workshop
Exploring Clay Handbuilding Workshop
Minimum of 6 people | Maximum of 15 people
$150 per person
3 hours
Private workshops can be held at Kristin’s home in North Warrandyte, or your own choice of venue.
These workshops are an opportunity for me to share all of the learnings that have come to me over the past few years developing my practice. This involves delving into my relationship with clay, including my recent explorations with collecting 'wild' clay, but it is also more broadly a space that encourages heartfelt conversation around creativity, connection, presence, and play.
My intention is to create a safe space for people to come together to reflect and share, learn new skills, and of course, connect with the beautiful material that is clay.During this three hour workshop, I will guide you through a range of hand-building techniques to help you create your own unique pieces, made from a range of stoneware clays, including some local Warrandyte 'wild' clay.
This workshop is perfect for beginners, and more experienced makers; all levels are welcomed. All techniques learned in the workshop will allow you to continue your practice in the comfort of your own home, with very few tools.
During the workshop, you will make between 5-8 hand-built pieces, which will be glazed, fired and ready for collection within 2-3 weeks of the workshop. All materials will be supplied.
A vegetarian grazing board and herbal teas will be served.
